Erik is writer and fine art photographer.

About Erik:

Erik Sellstrom is a photographer whose work explores the emotional and spiritual dimensions of everyday life. Working across street photography, portraiture, landscape, and alternative photographic processes, he investigates themes of memory, solitude, belonging, and the persistent presence of mystery within ordinary experience.

His images inhabit the spaces between documentary observation and personal reflection, seeking moments when familiar environments become strange, symbolic, or transcendent. Roads, cities, forests, weather, and human figures emerge not simply as subjects but as participants in larger narratives of passage, loss, connection, and renewal.

Influenced by traditions of documentary photography, romantic landscape, and contemplative art, Sellstrom's work examines how place shapes memory and how fleeting encounters reveal deeper truths about human experience. Through both conventional and experimental photographic processes, he creates images that invite reflection on the fragile relationship between presence and absence, permanence and change, the visible world and the unseen forces that inhabit it.
